eNVH module to characterize electromagnetic sources
Oros

To meet the requirements of NVH assessment and optimization of EVs and HEVs, Oros has recently developed a software module dedicated to the characterization of electromagnetic sources on top of the classical mechanical sources. This solution has been developed in collaboration with Eomys, a specialist in electromagnetic noise.

Electric and hybrid vehicle development has opened a new field of noise and vibration challenges. First, a quieter cabin environment, relieved from the noise of the ICE, lets new sources emerge. Although those sources often generate low sound levels, poor sound design means they can lead to an unsatisfactory sound experience for the passenger. The main propulsion motor also makes a major contribution to the overall sound: its vibroacoustic behavior can be assessed and improved using the appropriate technology. Globally, eNVH requires a wide range of dedicated skills and high-end tools, from simulation to testing.

Oros’s EVHV module perfectly complements the company’s NVH solutions, featuring transfer path analysis, modal analysis, sound quality analysis and source localization. With this new tool, Oros offers the most advanced, comprehensive solution to the challenges of eNVH: software, services and instrumentation.

Oros NVH testing systems are designed for vehicles, engines, components and EV/HEV in different test environments: laboratory, in-vehicle or production. Oros has a wide range of analytical solutions covering data acquisition, structural dynamics, acoustics and rotating applications and related services.
