Millbrook Group announces expansion plans for greater year-round testing capabilities

An exciting expansion of the current Indoor facilities will see Millbrook’s Test World site in Finland become Europe’s leading one-stop-shop for tyre testing.
Test World, part of Millbrook Group, will be using the Automotive Testing Expo 2017 to announce an ambitious project that will see it become a hub for year-round winter tyre testing. The project will increase the capacity for testing on natural snow and ice and introduce wet and dry braking, aquaplaning and split friction surfaces. Customers can already test tyres and vehicles on natural snow at Test World twelve months of the year, and the new facilities will add new capacity.
Three new Indoor areas will be created, combining to offer the world’s most versatile year-round winter test facility. The adjustable temperature will give an advantage to development testing and certification and labelling tests by allowing greater environmental control. Once construction is finished, the site will provide the majority of objective tests required by tyre manufacturers on one site, year-round.
