Virtual test driving for ADAS systems from IPG Automotive
IPG Automotive - Stall 2051

At Automotive Testing Expo India 2018, IPG Automotive will present its ADAS test systems, and the benefit of testing ADAS in combination with a powertrain test bench via the Dyno Interface. The Dyno Interface integrates IPG Automotive’s CarMaker, TruckMaker and MotorcycleMaker real-time- capable, whole-vehicle simulation environments into engine/electric motor and drivetrain/powertrain test benches as well as vehicle/chassis dynamometers. As a global leader in virtual test driving technology, IPG Automotive develops innovative simulation solutions for vehicle development. Designed for seamless integration, the software and hardware products can be applied throughout the entire development process, from proof of concept to validation and release.

IPG Automotive is an expert in the field of virtual development methods for the application areas of ADAS and automated driving, powertrain and vehicle dynamics. It is committed to providing support to master the growing complexity in these domains. The company’s CarMaker product family is used around the world to address the challenges associated with developing and testing advanced driver assistance and automated driving functions by integrating a highly accurate vehicle model in a realistic environment.

The detailed sensor models, infrastructure and surrounding traffic elements are critically important for achieving realistic visualisations. Virtual test driving brings the testing of real-world driving to the test bench and enables the evaluation of efficiency, emissions and driveability even for e-Horizon and connectivity- based powertrain systems. Developing for RDE and real-world fuel consumption is made possible even without a prototype available.
