Day 2: Konrad advances PCB test platform and enhances signal integrity
Konrad

At Konrad’s booth, visitors can see a live demo of the company’s new LeonBench and LeonInline systems that extend its portfolio with manual and automated test systems for ICT, FCT, ISP, boundary-scan and end-of-line applications.

As Laurent Chatard, global key account executive, explained, “The core of the system is an analog extension for PXI-based instrumentation, which provides more efficiency as there are no cables between the tester and the fixture. Without wiring, the signal pathway is now very short, augmenting the signal integrity.”

Essentially, as Konrad Technologies is highlighting at the show, signal integrity is greatly enhanced via direct connection of the measurement signals to the test adapter interface, as well as the direct interconnection of the signals via the Konrad analog bus extension (ABex).

Thanks to the additional 482mm installation space, as well as the transfer of vacuum and pneumatics, a wide range of system configurations and test fixture designs are possible. Due to the high scalability both in the number of test points and in the parallelism of the test, the systems are suitable for all types of electronic assemblies.

“This value-added solution simplifies wiring, which means only the software needs configuring, and therefore minimizes complexity. Good for high-channel-count applications, it is also very dynamic,” said Chatard, noting that the new Leon technology has been well received by show visitors.

Experts are on hand at the Konrad Technologies booth (15010) to answer any questions.
