Microflown Technologies has created a measurement tool for NVH applications called Scan & Paint 3D that allows users to localize sound sources and visualize propagation in three-dimensional space. In a matter of minutes, the complete sound field can be displayed on a 3D model of any studied object. Ideal for studying vehicle interiors, entire engines or smaller objects such as mirror actuators, the system is able to visualize sound with an unparalleled spatial resolution across a broad frequency range. Color-coded 3D visualization offers a comprehensive insight into the sound source location, sound intensity and power, as well as sound direction.
