Efficiency testing of EV drive systems
YOKOGAWA Test & Measurement

Visitors in the electric vehicle development arena should stop by Yokogawa’s booth to discover more about the company’s WT5000 power analyzer. The system is claimed to have the industry’s highest power accuracy level of ± (0.01% of reading + 0.02% of range); a frequency bandwidth of DC, 0.1 Hz ~ 10MHz (voltage); and a sampling rate up to 10MS/s (18bit). It has a seven-channel power input element and enables simultaneous evaluation of up to four sets of motors. The large touch screen supports a full Chinese interface display. Users can freely configure and flexibly test three-in-one e-drive systems.

The WT5000 also has a waveform data stream output function. While calculating the steady-state power parameters, the sampled data of the corresponding voltage and current waveforms can be saved for transient analysis. The WT5000 supports high-speed communication interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0. At the same time, it can support the transmission of power data through the CAN bus, enhancing the productivity and efficiency of EV system testing.
