Headlight adjustment and non-contact 3D detection of surfaces
VisiCon

The VisiCon dPP probe (dynamic pattern projection) is a measurement sensor for non-contact three-dimensional detection of tire surfaces. The probe takes 40 images per second, from which a 3D model of the illuminated tire is generated. From this, toe and camber can be calculated. In differential mode, high image contrasts are achieved and the influence of extraneous light is compensated. Optionally, an illumination unit can measure the height of the wheelhouse edge synchronously.

VisiCon also offers semi- or fully automatic adjustment of main lights and fog lights with the highest precision. With camera-based recording of the headlight and analysis by VisiCon’s software, the results are exact and reproducible – this applies to all types of headlights from halogen to laser. In combination with the VisiCon centralizer, the adjustment is made in alignment with the vehicle symmetry axis – the basic requirement for precise headlight adjustment.

VisiCon’s turnkey system for headlight manufacturers checks all photometric and geometric features of headlights or headlight modules in the shortest possible time. If required, an adjustment can also be included.

In the audit, the adjustment accuracy of the production lines is checked. VisiLaserWall projects the target contours of the cut-off line precisely onto the projection screen using unique laser technology designed by VisiCon. This allows the auditor to conduct a precise, thorough evaluation of the headlight image. The contours can be defined individually for each vehicle and headlight type.
