Battery shock testing technology

Lithium-ion batteries are a proven technology for automotive applications, and their continued use in the future electric vehicle fleet is undeniable. In addition to battery performance and durability, battery safety is paramount to ensure confidence and widespread adoption of electromobility in our society.
Shock testing is an important aspect of safety testing for lithium ion batteries. CME Technology provides two products to execute shock testing in vertical and horizontal directions: KRD20-A vertical shock test system and KRD12-A horizontal shock test system.
Some of the key features of the KRD20-A & KRD12-A shock test systems from CME Technology are:
Pneumatic cylinder driving with the advantages of large driving force, short accelerating stroke, low cost and pollution free; trapezoidal guide posts – large supporting force, good lubricity and full-automatic positioning table; and automatic control of shock speed.
The systems also benefit from easy installation – the device comes with a base, due to short driving stroke of the pneumatic cylinder, the footprint is small – and system scalability.
