High-precision power analyzers
HBK – Hottinger Brüel & Kjær

Looking for ways to simplify the testing of motors and inverters? Make sure you visit HBK’s booth where the company will be showcasing its electric power testing solutions, which combine multiple test systems into a single source. This complete measurement chain includes everything that is needed from sensors through to power analyzers that are paired with dedicated analysis software to measure electrical and mechanical power – with a high degree of accuracy.

HBK will debut a series of power analyzers that it believes will set a new standard in dynamic power measurement. With an unmatched base reading accuracy of 0.015% and 0.02% range, the GEN7i eDrive data acquisition system is suitable for high-performance applications such as measuring efficiency, electrical machine mapping, vehicle energy management, and automotive range testing (WLTP).

Various configurations and a modular slide-in board enable a single mainframe to manage between three and 51 power channels. Inputs like CAN, temperature or NVH signals can then be added and recorded simultaneously. Digital cycle detection guarantees accurate power results in dynamic load changes, and a built-in SSD enables real-time raw data storage for verification and analysis.

Combined with HBK’s torque sensors and a new range of zero-flux current sensors, this family of power analyzers is a one-stop-shop for all your power applications.

To future-proof equipment, many products include additional electrical and mechanical measurements depending on users’ requirements.
