Model-based testing for e-mobility applications
KS Engineers

Putting into service vehicles that have a large number of networked control units represents a growing challenge due to the mutually interrelated influences of the different functions and the large number of iteration loops this requires.

The KS-R2R (road to rig) technology enables a road-realistic display of the loads in terms of speed and torque on the testbed, both for individual components and for the entire vehicle. To simulate a realistic environment for the test sample, the control concept uses mathematical models that are calculated in real time on the testbed with torque as an input and speed as an output.

For the simulation of different environmental conditions, testbeds can be equipped with flexibly combinable modules for environmental simulation such as altitude and climate scenarios, bus simulation, import of real GPS street maps, simulation of GPS satellites (GPS spoofing) and the integration of sensor models (radar, camera, lidar, etc) for testing driver assistance systems on the testbed.
