Test actuator advancements

For 2019, Herbert Hänchen has developed a new seal for its servohydraulic actuators. Thanks to the Servoseal, servo actuators can now be used for movements with the smallest amplitudes without leakage. The company offers a wide range of test actuators for high-dynamic tests with high frequencies as well as servo actuators for lower side loads and high accelerations up to 25Hz.
Herbert Hänchen has also developed a special carbon fiber-reinforced plastic for use in hydraulic actuators. The H-CFRP allows for 80% lighter actuators, in addition to being immune to corrosion and non-magnetic. The lower piston rod mass, in particular, results in energy savings of up to 50% in the operation of hydraulic actuators. This increases the realizable dynamics depending on the application.
