New portable and user-friendly acoustic camera

With the introduction of Norsonic’s hexagonal-shaped modular acoustic camera, the market now has an acoustic beamforming array that is lightweight, portable, and able to ‘see’ low frequencies. The acoustic camera has a rugged design and is fitted with 128 MEMS microphones.
The ‘HexTiles’ are modular and can be arranged in an ‘MultiTile’ array. By combining three, customers get a portable system with great resolution down to 120Hz. This new acoustic array combines a quick and easy assembly with very user-friendly software that includes live noise mapping, a virtual microphone ‘on your cursor’, RPM modules and much more. The system also allows recordings for detailed studies and for documentation purposes.
In addition, Norsonic has also launched a dual-channel SLM with sound intensity, a handy tool for sound power measurements, locating noise sources, and other noise-mapping tasks.
