Textile thermal comfort measurement

Mesdan and Thermetrics will be sharing a booth at Automotive Testing Expo. The former supplies yarn splicers for knotless yarn joining, as well as laboratory quality control testing equipment for textiles. It is the exclusive European distributor of Thermetrics products. Seattle-based Thermetrics manufactures equipment for defining the thermal and psychological comfort of fabrics and garments, such as the sweating guarded hotplate and thermal manikins.
Their booth will showcase products such as the Martindale Wear and Pilling Tester for textiles and leather and the Automotive HVAC Manikin system which measures passenger comfort and environmental conditions in cabins. Finally, the booth will also feature the Seat Test Automotive Manikin, a ‘back and buttocks’ manikin developed to better evaluate the thermal comfort and moisture management properties of automobile seating.
