Flexible and reliable testing of battery management systems

A new, modular way of testing battery management systems (BMS) will be taking center stage on MicroNova’s stand. The company will be introducing new ‘smart cards’ and modules for its NovaCarts. These carts are mobile and modular hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators, with further components and software for comprehensive testing applications in technologically demanding areas.
The new smart cards and modules, with their modular hardware- and software-based simulations, can be combined with each other in flexible configurations to realistically simulate all the conditions to which a battery management system (BMS) might be exposed. Options range from a single plug-and-play card or module to a fully equipped turnkey hybrid HIL system.
The solutions are future-proofed and designed for the test requirements of future technologies, such as solid-state batteries. This not only saves costs in the simulation of current BMS, including cell controllers, but also offers automotive manufacturers and suppliers long-term investment security.
