Dynamic signal acquisition and analysis
Vibration Research

Vibration Research will demonstrate the new capabilities of its ObserVR1000 – a portable, battery-powered device for dynamic signal acquisition and analysis.

Key to its enhanced data syncing and display performance is the tightly integrated ObserVIEW software. With 16 channels of analog input, the ObserVR1000 can record vibration data from a variety of sources including the tachometer and a GPS antenna; video is recorded with a GoPro camera.

After field data capture, the vibration data, tachometer data, GoPro video and a GPS mapping display can all be synced in ObserVIEW and displayed. The collected data can then be played back, paused or slowed down, with all windows displaying information from the same point in time.

For engineers, this means that analysis of the vibration data is enhanced by insights coming from geography, visible road surface conditions, engine RPM performance and vehicle speed.

The ObserVR1000 also features SD card storage and can be configured with a smartphone app to view live data, so engineers can ensure that a recording session is proceeding as expected.
