New test and simulation system saves energy and space
Gustav Klein - Stand: 1402

Gustav Klein’s new multichannel test and simulation system for energy storage saves energy and space by having up to four programmable output systems, which can be controlled independently of each other. Paralleling of the channels is also possible. By using a common DC bus, most of the power can be exchanged between the tested storage systems without using the grid. Special solutions of up to 500kW, 1,000V DC and 1,000A are available (the maximum output current is 4,000A). The new unit helps reduce connecting power for the testing of high-power batteries as well as losses during battery testing, as the power can be shifted between two batteries of different voltages by the internal busbar. With the I-TS single system Gustav Klein measured a current rise time up to 1.3ms from -900 to +900A, which enables the system to simulate batteries in the powertrain or other applications.
