Infotainment test devices
Noffz Technologies

The Automotive Audio Bus (A²B) is a bus developed by Analog Devices Inc for infotainment systems in automobiles. It is increasingly used in other applications such as AV conference systems. For anyone using A²B networks to reduce the complexity, cost and weight of audio systems, Noffz Technologies has developed an off-the-shelf solution called Infotainment Test Device (ITD) 1024, which comprehensively tests A²B signals and communications during development, validation and production. Regardless of whether master or slave, all A²B products such as high-fidelity amplifiers/speakers, head units, e-call systems, microphones, vibration/noise-canceling units or actuators, sensors, etc can be tested. The compact ITD 1024 generates and captures up to 32 audio channels in real time.

The device is suitable for all phases of the product development process and can be used individually in the lab or integrated into test systems. The mounting accessories and companion software make it ideal for automated test setups. It provides libraries for NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand and .NET as well as a text-based SCPI API that can be used with almost any programming language, such as Python, C++, Java, etc. Besides standard master or slave node simulation, the ITD 1024 supports end node simulation.

Noffz’s A²B test offerings are completed by the Line Test Box (LTB) 1024. The device can measure the bus voltage and current between two A²B nodes during the bus operation, simulate fault insertion on both A²B lines and perform load simulation.
