Accurate tachometers to analyze rotating parts
Texys Group

Accelerometers are widely used during NVH and durability tests to measure vibration and better understand phenomena linked to rotating parts. However, accurate tachometers can be the best way to extract information from rotating parts and perform complex analyses.

This is what Texys Group offers through its subsidiary, Optel-Texys, with the 152 series of fiber-optic angular velocity sensors. The latest of these products is the 152 G7-E, which has been specifically developed for in-vehicle measurement, whether the vehicle is driving, flying or sailing.

This lightweight product can automatically adjust its parameters to detect rotating parts in most cases.
Its compact size allows installation in small and narrow areas. The 152 G7-E remains plug and play with Optel-Texys’ existing fiber-optic probes. It is suitable for in-vehicle measurements, on track and on test benches.

The 152 G7-E is a compact, lightweight optical speed sensor with an anodized aluminum alloy housing. It offers special protection against temporary short circuits, a detection range of 1-5mm, switching frequency 0-300kHz, and operating range from -10°C to +70°C.

In addition to the 152 G7-E, the company will showcase several other new products developed for embedded tests, such as the OFTS torque meter to measure torque without contact or onboard mass.
