Four-quadrant grid simulator and power amplifier
Aarjay International

The IT7900 series is a programmable, four-quadrant grid simulator. It is also a four-quadrant power amplifier, which can be used to test various grid-connected equipment. The grid simulator adopts the third-generation semiconductor SiC components. It is only one-third the size of conventional grid simulators but its output power can be up to 960kVA, achieving the highest power density among similar products on the market.

Simultaneously a regenerative four-quadrant AC grid simulator and full four-quadrant power amplifier, IT7900 has outstanding features such as professional anti-islanding test mode; CV, CC, CP test modes; easy-to-operate interface; AC, DC, AC+DC, DC+AC working modes; single phase, three phase and reverse phase; multi-channel operation modes; built-in distorted waveforms; and harmonic and inter-harmonic simulation. It has a programmable output impedance to simulate the impedance of the AC grid in accordance with IEC 61000-3-2 and IEC 61000-3-3 standards. Its built-in power meter has a current accuracy of up to 0.1% + 0.2% FS.

The simulator can be used for testing on/off-grid inverters, electronic power regulating systems, OBCs, AC charging piles, EV power supply equipment, PCS, energy storage systems, AC-DC power adapters, UPS and AC motors. It can be used as a power amplifier in power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) systems.
