Envisys Technologies’ ETB-Series environmental test chambers for battery testing are designed for the environmental testing of automotive battery packs, modular cells and lithium-ion batteries.

Envisys designs and manufactures various types of environmental test chambers such as temperature-humidity, salt fog, dust, rain, thermal shock and altitude. The chambers for testing various types of batteries are designed for environmental testing ranging from small battery cells to large battery packs. Envisys fulfills the battery testing requirements of a range of industries such as automotive, telecom and electronics hardware, including the stringent testing of lithium-ion batteries with necessary safety features.

The ETB-Series environmental test chambers for battery testing are designed with all the safety features required for reliability tests and abuse testing of batteries. The chambers for battery testing also cover all eight EUCAR safety levels as prescribed by the standards, plus user-specific requirements, depending on the nature of the batteries tested.

Some of the safety features provided to mitigate various types of risks include an O2 and HC/H2 measuring unit, GN2 air purging unit, burst disc, fire detection with CO gas detector, exhaust blower with damper and CO2 flushing, plus additional optional safety accessories such as pressure relief flap, status indicator, electromagnetic lock, door safety chain and heat detection system.
