To create some order in the massive operation of testing vehicles and managing test fleets and the data they generate, Aptiv has created Connect. At Automotive Testing Expo, the company will demonstrate the Aptiv Connect Quality and Fleet solutions. The platform ingests rich vehicle data and transforms it into actionable information in real time.
The Aptiv Connect Quality solution helps to identify and resolve issues with vehicles. From preproduction engineering and validation through manufacturing and in-market vehicles, this solution can now find and fix quality problems more quickly than ever before.
Another application on display will be Aptiv Connect Fleet, which provides real-time vehicle diagnostics, location, overall vehicle health and driver behavior for fleet managers. The platform allows fleet managers to accurately predict exactly when each vehicle will need an oil change, new brakes or other consumables, based on actual wear rather than on mileage. The ability to accurately monitor all facets of the vehicle in real time can decrease cost of ownership, increase vehicle uptime and improve fleet efficiency and safety.
