Full-stack autonomous driving validation and verification

New test technology, test procedures and test standards are required to ensure that intelligent connected vehicles can be commercialized faster and more safely under the human-vehicle integration application. The IAE X-IN-LOOP autonomous driving full-stack validation and verification solution is a complete technical solution and engineering service covering MIL-SIL-HIL-DIL-VIL (digital twins proving ground VIL -> advanced VIL -> vehicle-traffic-environment-in-the-loop) to accelerate autonomous driving R&D and testing in time and space.

In MIL, the testing system with vehicle dynamics, sensors, traffic and environment models is perfectly integrated in the simulation environment. The SIL will allow the replacement of control models with actual software implementations for software code validation and verification.

The HIL combines hardware and software testing and can support testing including controller hardware, sensors (such as millimeter-wave radars, cameras, etc) and actuators (x-by-wire system).

The DIL uses human-machine interaction to evoke, measure, model and understand the complex relationship between humans, intelligent and connected vehicles and road infrastructure.

An advanced vehicle-in-the-loop test laboratory helps to achieve safe, repeatable and efficient functional testing on the vehicle level.

The VIL combines simulation and real proving ground testing, using simulation tools to create scenario-based test cases and inject virtual traffic scenarios into real moving vehicles to test and evaluate the functions of the autonomous driving system.

The vehicle-traffic-environment-in-the-loop laboratory is known for its high efficiency, controllability and repeatability. It will successfully meet the needs of complex tests such as high-risk scenarios testing and fault tolerance testing, and help to realize autonomous driving safety in adverse weather conditions.
