Oil mist separator system validation
Topas GmbH - Stand: 1284

Oil mist separators of crankcase ventilation systems can now be validated at realistic temperature and differential pressure level boundary conditions, using Topas’ Separator Performance Tester SPT 140. In response to continually increasing limitations on combustion engines’ emissions, the company has extended its field of testing to engine testing.

Using the blow-by test system BBT 143, R&D engineers can now design and test a more suitable oil mist separator system for a given engine over the power plant’s full working range. Optical measurement further enables full engine separator validation within only 2 days. This, Topas says, is a significant reduction in engine testing time compared to the current state of the art. The BBT 143 is already being used by several leading global car and engine manufacturers as well as oil mist separator supplier companies.

The company will also be presenting a completely new aerosol spectrometer at the expo, which provides full particle size information at engine testing.
