Calorimetric test rig for battery testing

Young Calibration will showcase a new calorimetric test rig system to aid the test and development of thermal management in battery hybrid and EV cooling systems, at Automotive Testing Expo Europe.
The system features a range of modular heat sources bonded onto a custom test plate to provide replicated battery heat dissipation under various heat loads in a safe and controlled manner. The heat generators are available in a range of sizes and power densities, and provide battery heat simulation in a safe and realistic test environment.
The latest testing blocks fully incorporate into the existing calorimetric heat exchanger test facility for full system thermal management testing.
