Integrated solutions to increase AV testing efficiency
Virtual Vehicle - Stand: 1226

Visitors to the Virtual Vehicle booth will see a display of technologies including the TOAD (Tomographical Ammonia Detector) measurement system, a fast and affordable solution for detecting the ammonia concentration distribution within an exhaust system. The system measures the ammonia line concentrations at twenty different light paths. Using a sophisticated tomographical algorithm, the local distribution is calculated. The sampling frequency of TOAD is up to 3kHz, to allow highly instationary processes to be studied.

In addition, the company will be presenting its new Safety Toolchain. This system allows integration in an agile development process of integrated safety systems, thanks to its modular approach and high degree of automation. It allows for an effectiveness assessment of active, passive and integrated safety protection systems under real-world conditions. It is perfectly suited to estimating the impact on accident severity from changes in a safety system, all in a reasonable amount of time. The Safety Toolchain enables the simulation of an arbitrary number of accident scenarios without user intervention. It is sensitive to specific vehicle geometry, mechanical properties and the protection system configuration.

Finally, Virtual Vehicle has partnered with experts from ALP.Lab for the execution of ADAS/AD testing according to NCAP guidelines on proving grounds, as well as public roads in Austria.
