Telemetric measurement technology as an integrated solution
KMT Telemetry
The innovative MTP-NT telemetry system from KMT and imc is a completely modular kit consisting of freely selectable sensor front-end modules, a controller unit and power supply modules. Two types of sensor modules are available: a universal analog module for voltage, strain gauge and IEPE sensors; and a temperature module for measuring thermocouples and PT100/1000. Each sensor module is equipped with signal conditioning, anti-aliasing filters, A/D converters and a digital output. The digitized measurement data of all modules is transmitted wirelessly via the common controller module using a PCM-coded data stream.
Flexible telemetry solutions offer various wireless transmission technologies. For medium and long distances, radio transmission is typically applied; inductive transmission is best suited for short distances. Inductive solutions also allow the electronics to be wirelessly powered.
A particularly modular and flexible concept can be realized by combining the MTP telemetry with the imc CRONOSflex DAQ system. It collects the TCP/IP data stream of the MTP-NT and converts it into uniform data channels, synchronized via IRIG-B. At this point, the telemetry subsystem is fully integrated into the universal measurement system.
The KMT MTP-NT modular telemetry system allows up to 128 modules (256 channels) to be controlled with a single MTP-NT controller module.
