Customized test rigs for EVs
Melz Indcosys Solutions

With trends moving toward ‘technology push and market pull’, Melz will introduce its new custom-built test rigs for EVs, including sensors and modules, at this year’s expo.

The company specializes in providing state-of-the-art, customized, scalable testing solutions, and its new systems have been verified with critical parts such as battery chargers, DC-DC converters, motors, stators, powertrain digital clusters, charge ports, motor controllers and power inverters. They feature a high-end closed-loop control system with data acquisition (DAQ) and logging functionalities and real-time stamping and report generation (customized) and are designed to interface with OBD tools.

The rigs include functional control algorithms on IIoT platforms and enable encrypted cloud interfacing. Each one-of-a-kind rig offers robust and reliable technology for OEMs and ancillary suppliers. The company’s rigs can be adapted to comply with testing standards at various stages, from bare board to final functionality checks, with in-built traceability options.

The modular systems will help users undertake performance and durability checks on assembled and subassembled modules and parts. They will include options to interface with environmental stress screening (ESS) and connect with industrial and building automation gateways.

Melz works with major OEMs and Tier 1 and 2 automotive suppliers.
